Hi, I think you had a very good reason to back up your thoughts. I agree with you. If someone has too much power than they can destroy and use that power agaist others. Another example could be that years ago in Ancient times the men nd pharoah had way more control than the others and they could have their kids killed if they didnt do something right. Power is something that can be use well and in a good way to help others or in a bad way to taake over people or countries.

Well Mr. R, people do have power and they earn it from respect or from fear. For example Russia and it's natural resources. Countries that get their resources from Russia if they don't give Russia the respect they won't give them the resources and the countries will suffer. The countries would fear Russia because if they don’t give them respect or money they could cut off the natural resources. Most of the time if a leader gets a little to much power, they abuse or misuse like a drug. People can over turn the government like the people did to Nicholas the 2. Eight out of ten times if a president gets to much power they’ll go corrupt.

I also agree with that statement. If you take a good look back in history, then you can see when many people became to powerful and became dictators.

Take Adolf Hitler for instance. First he tricked Germany into disliking the Jews, then when he got there appreciation, he abused his power. But, people did not back down because they believed what he said about changing there economy and many other things.

Another good example is the medieval time monks. Because they were the only ones who could read and write, they became to powerful and tricked people.

Why do you think is happen if people know about what disasters can happen if you give people to much power?

Do you think we give to much power to people?

I really enjoyed reading your post, some of the great things that you included in your post that I liked was, how you explained how people are using there power and how that is wrong. Here are some things that you could work on I think that some of your information was not true, I do not think that Gorge bush is taking unvatige of his power, I think that hw trying to help the people that live in Iraq. If this information is true you should include a link to prove me wrong. You also sounded a little unfocused about the topic and a little unclear. If you fix these miner problems I think that your piece will be great.

Hey Meguel,

I agree with your statment. Many who have the power to obtain full power will, most likely do it. Some leaders like Kim Jong II {North Korean leader} how way to much power letting no "outsiders" or outside information get to any of the citizens. This information could let the northern koreans look at there lives and see how bad it actually is. Most people don't belive it, but if you were to take total control most of everyone would take it in a snap.

Hey Miguelito,
I like your post about this power issue. My only advice is to
provide your feelings toward this power issue. However this thought is
very challenging to me. I don't think that George Bush would ever do such a thing due to the fact that hewill be regarded in a malicious way. But is there ever a time where a leader must abuse power to save his country ?
Is this Dictatorship? Loyalty? Like lets say Hitler didn't abuse power where
would Germany stand economically? When Dictators abuse power do they feel that they are helping the country ? In this thought is dictatorship
good can you trust dictators ? In some sense it sounds good what I'm thinking right Trust is a very powerful thing right ?

What Do You think ?

Yours Truly,

Dude, I love your post, about corrupting power. It ties in to what we are learning in class(we are learning abot Putin). "8/10 times," it corrupts people. Power is like Potato chips: once you have some you will come back begging for more. Think of some of the most infamous people in history, most of the time they wouldn't of been able to be half as evil if they didn't have power, but some of the times it was the people who allowed it.

Adolf Hitler, leader of the Germans in WW II, how did he get more power? The people allowed it. Joseph Stalin, the leader of the Soviets in WW II, he was a dictator. As you know, Soviet Russia was communist, and it was the people who allowed that. No man can be trusted with power, no matter who, what, where, when, and why.

Think about Mikhail Gorbachev, he ended communism, but what is he doing now? He is complaining about us protecting ourselves with the missle shields. He is making his appearence in public, making everyone in Russia agree with him. Why not just talk in his house with his family, instead of making public appearences. Are celebrities expected to state their opinons about politics, or should they sit back and be quiet? Plese comment back... THE WICKED AWESOME MONKEY DUDE!!!

Hey, I think that the idea of a gainig to much power is a really interesting idea. Initally, all ofthe thoughts of any person gaining to much power is a bad thing and can lead to poverty and real conflicts in a country.

Recently we have heard about the idea of Russia and their president elections. Now, Dmitry Medvedev has been elected as Putin stands by his side. Putin who was president before has been along with Medvedev and since he had so much power and still does, Medvendev has a high percent of winning in which it got to the point in which everyone new the future.

Answering the question about what Mr. R said: How can people take it back power when a person has gained it?

If a person has power and has control over their territory, i think that it would be very hard to take it back. It is probably impoosible. But, when I think of it can a person who also in power fight another in power as well.

From my knoledge, a person who fights another in power it causes a lot of problems. When two countries fight eachother causes a lot of problems between the two countries and cause a lot of problems. How could this be compared to the Cuba Misstle Crisis? They were threatned.

What are connections that you can connect to people in power and what are expiernces that you have learned about? How does it affect the people and what they pressure they are under?

How do you think power shifts? To use your example, how did the US president gain so much power? How can the people take it back? Are people given power, or do they take it? How do we stop them?
